Privacy Policy — DS View Pro+ for Amazon

DS View Pro+ ("the extension", "we", "us") is a Chrome extension that displays Amazon Best Sellers Rank (BSR), FBA seller counts, and price/rank history charts directly on Amazon search and Best Sellers pages. This policy explains what information the extension collects, how it is used, and who it is shared with.

1. Information We Collect

Category	Google account email address and Google account ID
Collected via	The optional "Log in with Google" feature, using Chrome's built-in `identity` API
Why	To create and identify your account with our backend, apply bonus credits, and track your subscription/credit status

Category	Amazon page content (ASIN, product title, category, item dimensions, weight, model number)
Collected via	The extension's content script, which reads the Amazon page you are currently viewing (limited to `amazon.com` search-result and Best Sellers pages)
Why	To look up and display Best Sellers Rank, FBA seller count, and price/rank history for the products shown on that page

Category	Usage/credit data (e.g. number of lookups performed, remaining free credits, subscription status)
Collected via	Normal use of the extension
Why	To enforce free-tier credit limits and reflect paid subscription status

Category	Payment status (e.g. "subscribed"/"paid"), linked to your Google account email
Collected via	Stripe, our payment processor, when you choose to upgrade
Why	To unlock paid features after purchase

We do not collect or process your payment card details directly. When you choose to upgrade, you are redirected to a Stripe-hosted checkout page, and your card information is handled entirely by Stripe under Stripe's own privacy policy.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your browsing history outside of the specific Amazon pages the extension operates on, your location, health information, personal communications (emails, messages), passwords or authentication credentials (sign-in is handled by Google, not by us), or any keystroke, mouse-movement, or general activity tracking.

3. How Data Is Stored

On your device: The extension uses Chrome's local storage APIs to temporarily cache product lookups (so the same product isn't re-fetched repeatedly) and to remember your sign-in state. This data stays on your device and is cleared periodically or when you remove the extension.
On our servers: Account information (email, Google ID, credit balance, subscription status) is stored using Supabase, our backend database provider, to allow your account and credits to persist across browsing sessions and devices.

4. Third Parties We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We share the minimum data necessary with the following service providers, solely to operate the extension:

Google — for optional sign-in (OAuth). Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Supabase — our backend/database provider, which stores account and credit data on our behalf.
Stripe — our payment processor, used only if you choose to purchase a subscription. Governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
CamelCamelCamel and Keepa — used only to load publicly available price/rank history chart images for a given product (ASIN). No personal or account information is sent to these services.

We do not use or transfer this data for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose (Amazon product research), and we do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

5. Data Retention

Account data (email, Google ID, credit/subscription status) is retained for as long as your account is active. Locally cached product-lookup data is stored temporarily and is periodically cleared. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us (see below).

6. Your Choices

Signing in with Google is optional — the extension can be used without it, with a limited number of free credits.
You can revoke the extension's access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account permissions page.
You can remove the extension at any time via chrome://extensions, which stops all data collection going forward.
You can request access to, or deletion of, your account data by contacting us at the email below.

7. Children's Privacy

DS View Pro+ is not directed at children and is not knowingly used to collect data from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
